Our goal is to bring added value to our communities by interacting and working with them towards finding ways to address issues, to highlight what is working, and to improve the community overall. One way we do this is through solutions journalism. We identify and investigate solutions that have been implemented within the community and elsewhere to see if and how they are working. We bring information and possibilities from which our communities can choose and implement in their own way to benefit their members.

In addition, we aim to hold as many community conversations (informal face-to-face and one-on-one talks and specific events) to bring the community together around a shared priority. Through the process of community-driven journalism, we present the identified issue as well as our findings on possible solutions, then we report on the processes and discuss how to implement the solutions based on the community’s decision. The goal is for the community to learn together from one another and from the solutions we have identified so that they may make decisions on how best to move forward.
